Technical Support Team Leader
Ed Greig, P.Eng.
Ed has been the primary technical support representative for the WoodWorks® project since 1997. After graduating with a B.A.Sc., in Civil Engineering, from the University of Waterloo in 1976, Ed worked for 20 years as a structural design engineer. Throughout his career as a structural designer, Ed made extensive use of structural analysis and design software to achieve optimal results. He brings his experience as a practicing engineer to bear in his explanations of the of capabilities of WoodWorks® software and the solutions to the problems faced by WoodWorks® users. He continues to spend a portion of his time on structural design contract work, allowing him remain current in his understanding of the information needed by the engineering design community.

Robert J Jonkman, P.Eng.
Rob works in the Codes & Engineering division of the Canadian Wood Council. Completing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Management degree at McMaster University in Hamilton in 1994, Rob worked for one year at an engineering consulting firm and over nine years at Normerica Building Systems, a Canadian manufacturer of Post and Beam Homes and Clubhouses as their “Design and Engineering Supervisor”. The experience gained by engineering several hundred Post and Beam buildings for locations throughout Canada, USA and overseas gives Rob a practical perspective for designing wood structures. Using the Woodworks® Software Suite throughout his career, Rob currently focuses on managing its development to better meet the needs of practicing engineers and architects.
